Remove all sidebars from oxygen theme

  1. Is there a way to make the slider feature in the oxygen theme sit against the left margin without the big gap? I have finally managed to remove both left and right sidebars from all the pages using the CSS custom design upgrade thing, but can't figure out how to do it to the front "home" page. The site i'm trying to fix is PetcheyD.com

    The blog I need help with is petcheyd.com.

  2. Here is a CSS example that will hide the left sidebar (#secondary) and float the slider container to the left on the Oxygen theme's home page:

    .home #secondary {
    	display: none;
    }
    .page-template-showcase-php #content-wrap {
    	float: left;
    }
  3. Worked perfectly, thank you so much!

  4. design simply, can you prescribe a similar remedy that would remove the right-hand sidebar in Misty Lake theme? I tried your remedy, and it removed the content of my right-hand sidebar only on the front page - but I want to remove the sidebar on ALL pages. I am using the theme to create a website with static pages, not a blog. is there a remedy for this? if not, is there a theme that would allow me to remove all sidebars?

    Just to clarify what I am trying to get: I want a static-page website with a rather narrow content section that will allow me to post a different image on each page. Here is an example of the look I am trying to achieve: http://www.michaela-pelican.com/vita.php

    Any help would be so appreciated!

  6. Sheesh, sorry, I thought the link you reference was to your site. Since you are using a different them than being discussed in this thread, please start a new thread to keep confusion down for those coming to this thread later on. I'll watch for your post.
