Remove Comment field from bottom of page

  1. How do I remove/hide the comment field from the bottom of a page? I don't generally mind having it, but on one page I'm doing a Contact Me form. It seems pretty stupid to have a Contact Me form on a page and then have a Comment field below it.

The blog I need help with is karenbethjones.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi there,
This page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
We can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any post or page.

Depending on the theme we use when we close comments a phrase like "comments closed" or a similar phrase may appear and if so, it can only be removed by CSS editing after purchasing a custom design upgrade.

  3. Thank you! That's just what I needed! :)

  4. You're welcome and happing blogging. :)

  5. i want to do the same thing; I've done what you said, but there is still a comment box at the bottom of every page of mine. i'm using the imbalance 2 theme, is it something i need to change in CSS? how can i do this?

  6. We can't help without the URL of your blog, starting with http.

  7. Hi raincoaster, thanks for your help.

    my website is http://devindraudt.com/

i should also clarify, as i just realized my posts no longer display the "comment box" at the bottom, however the different pages still do. i only have galleries on most of my pages and i'd like the 'leave a reply' and 'leave a comment' fields to be removed. can you help?

  8. it was the same simple problem- the discussion module was hidden.

thanks so much for your help raincoaster!!!
