Remove date stamp on posts (Linen theme)

  1. Hey there,

    I'm very new to WP and am slowly learning the ropes of CSS design. I can't figure out how to remove the date stamp that is featured beside all of my posts. I'm posting articles whose publish dates were a while ago, so having the post date there may throw readers off. My blog theme is Linen.

    Please help if you can!

    The blog I need help with is greenspiritstrategies.wordpress.com.

  2. Give this a try.

    .post-date {
    display:none;
    }
  3. Thank you! That works, however the alignment of the posts still appear pushed to the right as if the date stamp on the left is invisible. Is there any way that I can now make my posts left justified, like a normal page?

  4. There is space held for the featured image which appears under the date (date superimposed over top of the image). Not being able to see your site, all I do is hazard a guess. If I help you extend the post to the left to recover that space, you will lose the ability to have featured images appear with your posts. Replace what I gave you above with the following.

    .home .post-date-box {
    display: none;
    }

    .home .entry {
    margin-left: 10px;
    }
  5. Great, thanks!

  6. You are welcome.
