Remove header image from front and home page

  1. I have the modularity light theme and would like to know if it is possible to remove the header image from my front and home page?
    I hope someone can help.
    Thanks.

    The blog I need help with is anjameinhardt.wordpress.com.

  2. Go here > Appearance > Header and remove the header image you uploaded. Then click "save changes".

  3. I would only like to remove the image uploaded on the front and home page but as far as I can see, the theme only allows me to remove the header image from all pages rather than just one or two.
    Do you have any solutions for this without me having to buy an upgrade?
    many thanks,

  4. I would only like to remove the image uploaded on the front and home page

    You can hide the header image on just the home page by using ".home" at the front of a CSS rule.

    Here is an example that will hide the header image for just the home page of the Modularity Lite theme:

    .home #header-image {
    	display: none;
    }

    Enter that CSS into your Appearance → Themes → Customize → CSS panel to see a live preview.

    Do you have any solutions for this without me having to buy an upgrade?

    You do need to purchase the Custom Design upgrade in order to apply the change to the front end of your blog.

    The only other alternative would be to find a theme that does this automatically, but I don't know of any on WordPress.com that currently display a header image on every page except the home page.
