Remove read-more text on homepage?

  1. I'm having trouble removing the "read-more" text on the homepage. I have purchased the custom design package, but cannot figure out how to remove this piece. Any ideas?

    The blog I need help with is sfcseattle.org.

  2. Anyone have any ideas??

  3. Hi there,
    All CSS editing is theme spefic fo you can search the Triton Lite threads while your are waiting, as this may have been done before. I'll flag this thread so it's moved to the CSS Forum forr you.

  4. Cool site!

    To hide the "read more" link on the Triton Lite home page, add this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS editor:

    .home .lay1 > div .read-more {
    	display: none;
    }
  5. Thanks for the help, and glad you like the site! When I added that to my CSS, it removed the button I created. Anyway to keep the button but remove the "read more" text?

  6. I didn't notice the button before, and it looks like the links to them are broken:

    Probably because you deleted the images from your media library and uploaded a new ones. In that case, you just need to update the url() values in your CSS with the new links.

    To keep the buttons and hide the text, update your CSS to:

    .lay1 > div .read-more {
    	background:url('YOUR_IMAGE_URL') no-repeat;
    	margin:13px auto 0;
    	padding:2px 4px;
    	display:block;
    	width:50px;
    	height:45px;
    	text-decoration:none;
    	text-indent:-9999px;
    }

    .lay1 > div:hover .read-more {
    	background:url('YOUR_IMAGE_URL') no-repeat;
    	text-indent:-9999px;
    }

    Replace YOUR_IMAGE_URL with the proper image links.
