Remove sidebar info from Suburbia?

  1. I'm new to WP and playing around with the Suburbia theme. Is there any way to remove the sidebar stuff in each post that says "Information" "Shortlink" and Navigation" ???

    See here http://jigcreative.com/2012/08/31/print-promotion-digital-publications-2/

    I'd like that clean with just a text Widget if possible.

    If it's not possible to do this would it be possible to do it by upgrading to "custom design"?

    Thanks

    The blog I need help with is jigcreative.com.

  2. I have just solved the same problem by upgrading to custom design / CSS editor.
    The page element is called "meta". Here are a couple of codes you can try. This one fixes it to the left hand column just under your main menu - it is the one I prefer:

    .meta {
    position:absolute;
    top:60em;
    }

    this one hides it completely:

    .meta {
    display:none;
    }

    My next task is to break into elements within the box and see if I can hide some of them.

  3. I was going to ask the same thing...but is there a way to either remove the 'Information', 'Shortlink', and 'Navigation' widgets (or remove the right-side Sidebar entirely) from Suburbia without using Custom Design/CSS?

    Thanks for the help!

  5. I couldn't work out any way to do it other than using the Custom Design / CSS.

  6. Thanks for the help and the quick response!
