Remove some category page stuff
-
Hi guys
How would i go about removing the “RSS feed for this section” “This category contains 6 posts” stuff on the left of a category page (probably the Video header too)? See this as example.
http://sunshinemachine.wordpress.com/category/video/I can’t find anything that I thought would do that but I’m not exactly pro when it comes to CSS.
Thanks

Just saying … CSS editing cannot be used to remove or even change functionality. So even if the display or the RSS feed icon can be hidden using CSS editing, the function will still exist and WordPress RSS URL formats are very well known.

This hides it and leaves the area a blank white space. If I do it the normal way the whole page collapses to the left.
.archive .archive-info { visibility: hidden; }

Thats great. Works a treat for me. Was hoping to keep the alignment anyway so thats perfect.
As always thanks for the help

You are welcome. I don’t like using visibility hidden since depending on what you have “hidden” the search engines can get suspicioust, but for what we hid, they should not have a problem.
