Removing comment abailities on a page like a 'contact me' page

  1. Is there anyway I can remove the comment capabilities on a page. For example, I am considering guest bloggers to contribute to a specific page and want to add a contact form but I do not want to have the 'Leave a reply' section underneath the contact form. Is is possible to remove or hide?

    The blog I need help with is spectacularsentience.wordpress.com.

  2. You edit the page and disable comments and pings in the Discussion module.
    If you see no Discussion module while on the page editor screen, click Screen Options (top right) to enable it.

    PS Please search the Support docs and the forum before asking questions: your question has been answered countless times.

  3. Thank you.

  4. Actually, I haven't found it ... I've disabled the ability to comment in my "Discussion" settings, but I don't know how to remove the "Leave a Comment" link in the WordPress Classic theme. I could change the color in the CSS

    a {
    color:#675
    }

    but I don't want to hide any links that I might put into the post myself; I just want to remove this particular "Leave a Coment" link from all posts. How do I do that?

    Thank you.

  5. Add this in the CSS editor:

    .feedback {
    display:none;
    }

    But naturally there should be no "Leave a Comment" link when commenting is disabled. That's an oversight in this theme, so you should also report it to staff for the benefit of all users:

  6. Thank you. That fixed the matter, and I have reported it.
