removing date and time stamp

  1. Is there a way to completely remove the date and time stamp from a blog post? I just want it to disappear...I don't have any upgrades, but using the pilcrow theme I can change around the settings to not display a date and time by just putting a "\" in the "custom" field, but unfortunately doing that still leaves the spacer dot between the date and time, and it is in a grey shaded box.

I'd like to make this go away, but am not sure it is even possible. Thanks.

The blog I need help with is sixpennydesigns.wordpress.com.

  2. Use a different theme.

  3. I've been looking through the themes and they all seem to limit options in that regard...this is the closest one I could find.

Do you know of any that let you? Thanks.

  4. Or you can hide them using CSS editing. You cannot access it and CSS edit any theme on free hosted WordPress.com blog without purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing.

  5. Important note: CSS editing is theme dependent. In some themes, meta data elements such as dates, times, categories and/or tags, author, date, and perhaps even the “leave a comment” link cannot be hidden independently, as they are in the same selector as all the other meta data elements, which means if you hide one, then you hide them all.
