Removing "Date/Leave a comment" on all posts (Imbalance 2)

  1. Hi all,

    I'm looking for an easy way to remove the date and 'leave a comment' header on each post on the home page. I have managed to remove the categories after digging around on the forum but cant find anything to solve this. I'm after some simple CSS I can paste into the custom design CSS page. Any help would be gratefully received!

    The blog I need help with is anewstarinthesky.com.

  2. This removes the date, I need something for the 'Leave a comments' line too!

    .entry-date {
    display: none;
    }

    Always provide a link for us volunteers to use since your username is not linked to anything and since we cannot see the URL you chose when you created the topic.

    The comment link on single-post pages does not have a separate selector so it cannot be hidden separately. You can use the following to get rid of the entire meta data line.

    .entry-meta {
    display: none;
    }

    On the main page, this will take away both the date and the comment link (takes away things like "featured" as well).

    .posted {
    display: none;
    }
  4. Wow - that is spot on, thanks so much for your advice.

    It has worked exactly as I had hoped:

    Thanks again.

    You are welcome.

  6. I couldn't get this to work on the fusion theme. I have the CSS upgrade but I'm an absolute beginner. I pasted it in the stylesheet editor with Add my CSS to Fusion's CSS stylesheet checked. Could anyone help please. http://www.adambrownswim.co.uk

  7. CSS needs to be different depending on your theme (most of the time). The code mentioned above is for the Imbalance 2 theme and not the Fusion theme, and so that's why you probably had trouble!

    I looked at http://adambrownswim.co.uk/blog/ and here is an example of the byline which appears just below post titles, "Posted by PA in Uncategorized on February 7, 2012." Is that the text you want to remove? Do you want to remove the shading behind that text as well?

    What about the "Leave a Comment" text that appears just after posts on http://adambrownswim.co.uk/blog/ Do you want to hide that text as well?

    Or were you thinking of different pages entirely?
