Removing hovering footer

  1. There is a "Blog at wordpress.com" and "theme by" footer at the bottom of my blog, which I'm not bothered about, but now a 'hovering' footer is appearing on my blog whenever you scroll down a little bit.

It is incredibly frustrating as it is distracting and it's only just appeared, I've had my customised blog for a few months now and it was never there before.

How can I go about removing the hovering footer?

The blog I need help with is streeted.co.uk.

  2. Staff have been introducing “infinite scroll" to themes — a site wide change. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/to-infinity?replies=137

See here for Disabling Infinite Scroll on your WordPress.com Blog http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/03/16/disabling-infinite-scroll-on-your-wordpress-com-blog/
Note that "disabling" the feature (when you use footer widgets) simply changes it from loading automatically to loading via the "Load More Posts" tab, and you can't disable that without the Custom Design upgrade.

  3. Fantastic. Thanks so much for your help.
    I've disabled it now.

I do have the Custom Design upgrade, but disabling it in the Settings tab seems the easiest option and the site still loads quickly :D

  4. You're welcome.
