Removing old blog we no longer have access to

  1. We have an old wordpress site which we have just found and would like taken down. Unfortunately we no longer have the access information to it. Please let me know what what we need to do to take care of this. The old site is:

    http://tmlanimation.wordpress.com/

    Thank you,
    Tim

  2. For security reasons, you will need to be able to verify that you own the site before you can delete it. The easiest way to do this will be to log in as the site owner. If you can't remember your account information, you can try using any email address or username you think you may have used for the account in our password reset tool:

    https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

If you are unable to regain access, you can contact our account recovery team using the link on the second page of the form (after you enter information into the recovery tool initially).

  3. I'm unable to gain access since none of the current email addresses show as registered, and the link on the second page will not work in our case since it's asking for information in emails sent to the account originally registered.

What else could we provide proving ownership of the business to get this handled?

    Thank you,
    Tim

  4. Just realized I was able to submit the request after all. It's been submitted.

    Thank you,
    Tim

  5. You're welcome.

  6. Hi Jackie,

I've not yet received a reply from my submission yet. Is there anything you can do to help that along?

    Thank you,
    Tim

  7. Staff work through email support tickets in chronological order based on datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected. How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each ticket are are. Please don’t contact account recovery staff more than once as doing that moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response.

  8. ahh I was hoping for at least a 48hr response time... I'll keep waiting.

    Thank you,
    Tim
