Does anyone know how I go about renewing a custom domain that I originally purchased through WordPress? The domain expired last month and I didn't receive a notification to renew. I've tried contacting support but have yet to receive a response.

This is a peer support forum and Volunteers cannot deal with your issue. Upgrades for domain mapping are annually renewable and we do get plenty of warning. A warning is posted on our dashboards about 2 month prior to the renewal date. Another one appears 30 days prior to the renewal date. Google prefers domains that are not going to expire quickly, so I just renew when I get the 60 day notice.
Once a Domain registration expires it goes into Redemption and will cost more than normal to renew. BTW you should not keep contacting Staff as they deal with the tickets by addressing those with the ealiest date first, and contacting them again will move the date forward and make the wait for an answer longer.

Just FYI, I think the "grace" period is 14 days (when you don't have to pay extra) and then it goes into redemption and will cost an addition $80 on top of the normal renewal cost. Everyone is raising costs associated with domain registration, so it could even be more than that now.
