Hello,
A piece of code that would allow calling a Flickr slideshow in a post would be awesome.
Thanks!
PS: I absolutely love wordpress.com. Love it and love you all for giving it to us.

Best bet would be to send in a feedback and suggest it.
another one askin for the same here...
me too. don't quite like the flickr widget that we have at present.
Slideshow would be great, especially if it could be tailored to flick through a specific set or sets or all photos.
And you folks have sent in a Feedback, right?
*knock* *knock* Is this thing on? :)
Feedback dispatched, but it is also worth expressing feelings on the forums as it may encourage an idea to gather some momentum?
Agreed but no one mentioned that they had sent one in. :)
*sniff* Someone likes me! Someone really likes me :)

Coffee....mmmmmmmm *drifts off into caffine heaven* :)
I saw a lot of examples, but they are all using the "iframe" TAG, that is not working in wordpress.com.
Of course something can be used as a widget, but what I am looking for is a way to put the flickr slideshow directly in a main wordpress page....
Please read the thread that you post in. A suggestion is made up above to send in a feedback requesting this.
iframes are stripped due to security concerns. That's been discussed many times over in the forums.
hope this helps,

Flickr Slideshow here:

cool ;-)
Read Me First Before Posting so I don't make the mistake that I just made here and post to the wrong forums instead of over at http://wordpress.org like I should here:

cool ;-)
I tried the code given by sunburntcamel. The slideshow seemed to appear briefly before disappearing. dunno why that happened. Can anyone help?!
This is something we should be able to do. I just transferred my personally hosted blog over to the free version and am frustrated with the inability to insert a Flickr slideshow. I've tried multiple things and nothing is working. What is the BIG deal about it being an iframe? Why are they preventing us from inserting Flickr slideshows?
If you do a search of the forum for iframe, you'll find the answer. It's a security risk. If you must have iframes, Flash, javascript or other forms which are stripped out by Wordpress.com and you cannot find an existing format which is supported (check the FAQ) then perhaps you need to reconsider your transition.
i can t for the life o trying get this right in my blog wordpress.com
iframe src="http://www.flickr.com/slideShow/index.gne?user_id=YOURIDHERE&tags=TAGS" align="middle" frameborder="0" height="500" scrolling="no" width="500"><br /> </iframe>
please help i need a step by step guide, remember i am using a free blog, not wordpress.org, email is geoffrey.gordon@synout.co.za
It won't work. iframes are stripped out along with flash and javascript.
Or what Rain said right above your post.
