Requests for hosted blogs

  1. I love the WordPress hosted service. It is feature rich, secure and it connects me (and my blog) with a slew of other talented bloggers and their great content.

However, I have a couple of small requests of enhancements I'd like to see. Sometime.

    1. Mobile version of my blog. In Canada, data charges are obscenely high so providing a plain text, RSS-like experience would be great for me and my readers.
    2. Post-by-email. I can't access the https://m.wordpress.com via my BlackBerry (due to an expired/untrusted SSL certifitcate) so I can't post on the go.

If I could post on the go, and if my readers could read me on the go, I'd never need to consider setting up on a new URL ever again.

    Cheers!

    Ed

  2. Yeah, post by email would be nice.

  5. I presume you realize you can post into wordpress, without the m.wordpress.com (which anyway does not allow for categories and tags I think).
Just use your mobile browser, I use one without javascript and it goes real quickly.
There might be a moblog software for the blackberry or maybe for java, for java try http://www.getjar.com

  6. Email and mobile posts are on our to-do lists, though I can't give a time frame.

  7. I have a mobile version of my blog. I set it up thru winksite.com and put a link to it in my sidebar. And I use my Blackberry to access the m.wordpress.com site without the https (just http) Is there a problem using the unsecure version?

  8. If my memory is working correctly, someone explained that the Andreas theme was perfect for mobile blogging, but of course I can't find that thread now or remember the specific reasons. Maybe a google search would turn it up?
