Reset Stats before moving to new owner

  1. Hello,

i'd like to know how to reset the stats for my Blog. Actually, a new owner will be using the domain-name and my wordpress-installation on a new host.
or: is there a way that he creates a new account on wp.com with new API-keys and stats for the same URL without having errors?

I dont want him to see the stats. thats it. and thats important. and i need to know fast, deadline is on sunday :(

tried the search, but it seems that there is no option to reset the stats manually..:(

P.S the data are not hostet on wp.com, its a private server if it matters.

The blog I need help with is www.pc-spezialist-bamberg.de.

  2. The blog you specified at http://www.pc-spezialist-bamberg.de does not appear to be hosted at WordPress.com.

This support forum is for WordPress.com hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums, not here.

If you don't understand the difference, you may find this information helpful.

  3. wow... thats fast.. thanks! i will try it there.
i just thought so because i createt my account on wp.com

    thank you!

  4. Can't i just delete my account on WP.com? i dont have another blog running so i dont need it anymore.. or do the .org-guys solve that too?

  5. You can't delete accounts; you CAN delete blogs. I think you will have to un-install the WP stats program and have him re-install it. But you'll need to contact staff directly to be sure that will work. Log out of WP.com, hit the contact support button at the bottom of this page, and choose the "no blog" option when filling in the form.
