Responsive Theme help!

  1. Where would I add the adsense (google advertising banner) code so that it appears on top of the header banner? I would like the logo to appear right justified and the AD left justified. Please help me! I am very new to everything.

    Thanks

  2. You are in the wrong place for that. There is only one advertising program. Note the blog must be on it's own domain to be considered for inclusion in the program and inclusion is not automatic. http://wordads.co/

Aside from having a blog accepted into the WordAds program there is no blogger initiated advertising allowed. Here's what gets a blog suspended here:
    http://wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/
    http://en.wordpress.com/tos/

On free hosted WordPress.com blog we can use a contact form and/or a PayPal button for sale of only products or services created or provided by ourselves.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

There is no upgrade you can purchase from WordPress.com that changes any of what I posted above. If you do require an ecommerce site, advertising, affiliate links, paid or sponsored content you can hire a web host and get a free software install from http://wordpress.org and move yopur blog content http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/

  3. @tt,
I think the OP is using wp.org. The site linked to his/her name is wearing Reddle.
    t

  4. Blog at WordPress.com. | Theme: Reddle by Automattic.

  5. Correct, but there is a theme called 'Responsive' for wp.org and for wp.com. And one needs a wp.com account to get Jetpack.

  6. Hi Tess,
Yes, we have the Responsive theme here too but you could be right. Let's seed what the blogger has to say when I ask what the relevant URL for the site he/she refers to is.

  7. @itony34
What is the URL of the site you refer to please?

The the only blogs we provide support for here at WordPress.com are free hosted blogs like this one http://itony34.wordpress.com/

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don't have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post there.

  8. tt,
Sorry. Didn't mean to step on toes. But I use Responsive for work (wp.org); any of the responsive themes are tricky when it comes to aligning things. Again, sorry.
    t

  9. @Tess
You weren't stepping on any toes.

  10. lol... so my website is actually hosted elsewhere and I am using the Responsive theme. I just made an account here to use the forum to get help.

  11. Hooray for Tess. :)

    @itony34
Best wishes for happy blogging. :)

  12. So can anyone help me add the adsense banner left justified alongside the banner (right justified)?

    Thanks

  13. So you are in the wrong forum and need to register at WordPress.org for help.

  14. . so my website is actually hosted elsewhere and I am using the Responsive theme.

So let me be crystal clear on the fact that you cannot and will not get any help here for WordPress.ORG software - period. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don't have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post there.
