Self hosted blog-
Had some problems and recently deleted and reinstalled blog.
Before I did so I downloaded my WP blog folder using FTP app.
I would like to restore original content- specifically posts, and pages.
I've searched internet and what I can find isn't working-
I've uploaded the wp-content folder but if I try to replace the new wp-config.php file the site becomes non functional. Also can't find original htaccess file which if I understand correctly is also needed.
Is there a way to restore my content or must I go back to square one and do it all manually? That would be tragic.
