On the right side of every one of my pages (when viewing the blog as a visitor) there's a "search" box followed by about a half dozen other things. How do I get rid of these?

The blog I need help with is mcreynoldsdesigns.wordpress.com.

  2. When we activate a theme there is a default sidebar display that appears to contain actual widgets. When we go here > Appearance > Widgets and select the widgets we want to use, open the widgets one at a time, configure, click "save" and close" inside them, then our widget choices override the default display.

If you are trying to create a website-like appearance and want to complete remove the sidebar, then you will need to purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade and do the CSS editing to change it.

  3. I forgot to add this to the end of the first paragraph above.

... override the default display. If we don not wish to have any widgets display then we install an empty text widget in the sidebar, click to open it, enter nothing at all, click "save" and close" inside the widget.
