   How can we set up an rss feed on our site? Please use layman's terms as I have no idea about this sort of stuff.

   RSS feeds are built-in at WordPress.com.

   You can find yours at http://lonelyplanetimages.wordpress.com/feed/

   For your readers, you might want to consider adding the "RSS Links" widget to your sidebar via Appearance -> Widgets in your blog's Dashboard.

   i tried to do that but i don't know what to add in the RSS widget box as it asks me for a URL and a feed title. no clue.

   That's the RSS widget. It's for displaying a feed from elsewhere.

   You want the RSS Links widget. :)

   Try something short, like "RSS" or "Feeds."
