Is there a way I can get the RSS widget to display its posts in the home page and not the side bar?

Hello there. I'm sorry but on wordpress.COM blogs we can only use widgets in sidebars and cannot use them on pages or in posts. This includes the RSS widgets and all other widgets. As wordpress.COM does not support the creation of blogs drawn by autposting of RSS feed content, and this is the primary tool used by sploggers I suspect that's the reasoning behind allowing RSS feeds only to be placed in sidebars. Timethief gave the perfect answer. I just wanted to add that with some themes (like twenty ten) you can also place widgets at the bottom in the footer.
