Saved CSS Changes Not Reflecting on Site--Tagline Font

    Hello,

    Am a beginner, and purchased the CSS upgrade. I was able change the Tagline font in the preview, and saved it. However, the new font (Raleway) does not show up on my homepage after publishing it. I already deleted my browser history/cache, and tried viewing it on both Firefox and IE.

    This was the code that got the tagline font and size I wanted:

    .wf-active #header .site-description {
    font-family: "raleway",sans-serif;
    font-size: 13.5pt;
    }

    It's for the following blog:

    Please kindly advise, as any help is appreciated. Thank you!

  2. Hi, I see you have raleway set for headings, and with typekit, the font name is typically not the font label you will find inserted into your CSS. If you look at the CSS that was inserted for your headings using Firebug in Firefox, you will see that this is the font stack that was inserted by the Custom Fonts feature.

    raleway-1,raleway-2,"Oswald",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif

    Change your custom CSS as below, and Raleway will be used for your site description.

    .wf-active #header .site-description {
        font-family: raleway-1,raleway-2,"Oswald",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
        font-size: 13.5pt;
    }

    Hello There,

    Thank you so much for your help. Actually, I tried the code you kindly provided me before, but it didn't work at all--the font that showed up in the preview nothing close to the font in my Headline (title).

    Playing around with the code, this got the wanted changes to reflect in the preview, but still it wouldn't save after I published it:

    .wf-active #header .site-description {
    font-family: "raleway",Oswald,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
    font-size: 13.5pt;
    }

    Is there any other way I can get the Raleway font for my tagline?

    Thanks again!

  4. I tested saving the CSS snippet in your blog to make sure saving is working, and it worked in my test. I also adjusted the selector a little. Here's the CSS I used:

    #header #masthead .site-description {
    	font-family: "Raleway", raleway-1, raleway-2, "Oswald", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
    	font-size: 13.5pt;
    }

    Could you check the blog and make sure everything's working for you?

    Aside: your artwork is beautiful! I love it.

    Hello There,

    Thank you so much! It's perfect. And am happy to hear that you liked my work--funny, as am working on a book and "happiness" is in the title! Cheers!
