   I'm trying to select the option to show the "comments" section under my blog posts. I've been to the support pages and read that I should be able to check a "discussion" option to show the comments that have been posted. However, when I go to my screen options, there is no "discussion" option; I only see the option "Right Now," "Your stuff," "what's hot," "quick ress," "recent drafts" and "stats."
   I'm not sure what else to do or where else to look.

   Each dashboard screen has different screen options. The ones you're referring to are the screen options of the main dashboard screen. To activate the Discussion module you click Screen Options while on the post or page editor screen.

   If you're talking about already published posts, you don't even need to edit them, activate the Discussion module then check the options in that module and update the posts. It's faster to go to Posts > All Posts, hover over the post title, click Quick Edit, check the options "Allow Comments" and "Allow Pings", click Update. And it's even faster to bulk edit several posts at at once: you go to Posts > All Posts, click the little square to select the posts, select Edit from the Bulk Actions pulldown, click Apply, select Allow from the Comments pulldown, click Update.
