How does WordPress know that users have put in search from a search engine that as refered to a post of mine, and get the actual search term from the engine???

There's really no way to track them currently as that's beyond what WP.com is about. You can find out though what terms are being used though in search engines to find your site via Dashboard -> Blog Stats -> Search Engine Terms.

They clicked on the "cached link" in Google and then clicked from that link to get to your website.
why would anyone click on the cached link to get to my blog? hmm... but thanks engtech
Sometimes people make mistakes. I've had it a few times.
i've seen this twice so far. once maybe, but twice? shouldn't be a mistake. maybe two ppl with slippery fingers or mouses...
