I have a search widget in my header, above the header image, that can't be removed. I guess it's from some of my other themes, but now when I recently switched theme on my blog it's still there. And I can't find a setting for it in order to remove it. It's really annoying! Can someone help me with this?
The blog I need help with is lillastoramy.wordpress.com.
No, the search box at the top of the theme is theme specific although a lot of the latest themes that have been introduced here have them there.
The only way to remove it would be to get the Custom Design Upgrade and then remove it with CSS.
