   I upgraded to 2.2 tonight, and went to adjust the widgets in my Main Sidebar, only to find that the search widget does not appear on the widget page. Recent Comments, Askiment, Recent Posts, Archives, Categories, Links, Pages, RSS 1, Text 1 and Meta are there, but nothing else.

   If I leave the Main Sidebar uncustomized, the Search widget appears on my blog, but it never appears as an option on the widget page. The second I start adding custom widgets to the sidebar the search box disappears from my page, and there does not seem to be any option to add it.

   You need to be at WordPress.org, as covered in the thread at the top of the forum marked Read Me First.

   That's what I get for having too many tabs open with both WordPress.com and .org simultaneously.
