Seeing Facebook Comments on Blog entries

  1. I will be sharing links to our blog on our Facebook Fan Page and know from past experience that some folks will post directly to our fan page rather than our WP page. I have seen other blogs where the FB comments appear on the blog entry as well as the comments made directly at the blog site. Is this something I can do with WordPress? If so, can someone direct me to a "how-to"? Thanks!

The blog I need help with is thezonemag.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi. I searched the forums and this is what I found so far:
    http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/import-facebook-status-and-posted-items-into-wordpress?replies=2#post-267302

It's an old post from 2008, but the information makes sense. It looks like it's not possible.

  3. Actually, to confirm the information I just gave you applies to you, could you please provide us with the URL of your blog, starting with http://? The link to your username is NOT a WordPress site.

  4. Oh sorry about that. Here is the link to our WordPress site http://thezonemag.wordpress.com/

  5. Thank you for confirming you do have a WordPress.COM blog. The information I gave you applies to WordPress.com blogs to the best of my knowledge.

  6. Thank you for the information.

  7. You're welcome.

  8. By the way, commenters hate that. They have privacy protections that this gets around. In my opinion, it's unethical to redirect comments made on one site to another site.

You can do it automatically on WordPress.org sites with a plugin, but doing it means I among many others will never comment on either your site or your FB page again.
