  4. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache:

    http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

If it’s still happening, let us know exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/ and also post any error reports you get.

  5. for example http://jinsonathemes.com/fabs/?themedemo=Shutter-shot
can themes like this get not easy activate it without an own webspace???

  6. I think this had nothing to do with the browser or the cache... it is just that the live preview of the themes show the content of the own "new" and empty page... and this is not nice, cause with empty content it get shown nothing - and design can not get choose.
in the thumbnail there get shown nice things... and this (I mean) should get shown on demo also... so that future own page can get better imagined.
    thank

  7. We do not have FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs like http://catchmi.wordpress.com/ and we not able to upload third party themes.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/

The only themes you can use on a free hosted WordPress.com blog are those found here > Appearance > Themes and showcased here > http://wordpress.com/themes/ We cannot access and edit any templates underlying our themes. Only Staff can edit as every blog wearing the same theme is using the same template.

Unless you are prepared to pay for a VIP account, http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ there is no upgrade you can purchase that changes this at WordPress.COM.

To upload themes you need to hire a web host and set up a WordPress.ORG install. To clearly understand the differences between WordPress.COM free hosted blogs and WordPress>ORG installs for self hosting read this comparison > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  8. If you are referring to any site that is NOT a free hosted WordPress.COM blog then be aware that the only blogs we provide support for here are free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

Your are posting to the wrong support forum to get help with any site that is not being hosted by WordPress.com. If you don't have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
