Setting background color in tables

  1. Our free site (testsjg7.wordpress.com) uses the Blogum theme. We have set a custom background color for the overall site. We would like to set the border and background color for table rows to white. However, when I drop the HTML code for background color into the table structure (<tr bordercolor="#ffffff" bgcolor="#ffffff">) and save the code, wordpress.com strips out the color attributes, leaving only the table row HTML (<tr>). Is there a way to designate the background color for tables on a free site?

    Thank you,

  2. We are having exactly the same issue with our blog. Please advise!

  3. Same here!!!

  4. The coding you're trying to use is obsolete. Correct coding:
    <tr style="background-color:#fff;">
