Setting up a WordPress account for someone else

  1. I set up a blog for myself. Now, a client of mine would like me to set up an account for him. However, when I go into WordPress, it automatically comes up to my account because I am accessing it from my laptop. How can I set up a completely different account for my client where everything is in his name?
    Thanks!
    Mary

The blog I need help with is marvindog.wordpress.com.

  2. Are you referring to the self install WP (.ORG) or the free hosted version of WP (.COM) ?

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  3. The Free WP.com version.

  4. The unique identifier here at wordpress.com is our email address. If we use two different personas and two different email addresses then we don't have this problem. We can transfer blogs see these support entries http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/ and http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

  5. You need to SIGN OUT of WordPress.com before you can make a new identity for someone else.
