Email other similar type sites as yours asking for a link exchange on each other's blogrolls. Not everyone will write back though. Don't leave this request in a comment on their blog because if they get lots of comments, it might get lost with the others.

Link trade syndicates are against the terms of service here. Your best bet is to write stuff so compelling that nobody can resist linking to it.
