Shopping Cart Plugin

    I am looking for a website solution which has both a blog and ecommerce site all in-one. I am finding most website platforms are either one or the other. I want both!

    Has anyone got any experience with WordPress for ecommerce? It is easy to use? Can yo upload products by cvs file?

    From my little look around it seems that companies outside wordpress sell the shopping cart plugin, and there is a number of them. Is one better than another?

    You can't do ecommerce and have a shopping cart plugin on wordpress.COM. If you need an ecommerce site, you can use wordpress.ORG software and install it on a host of your choosing, then you can use plug-ins.

    Thanks, I can sort webhosting and installation - I'm more interested to know what the shopping cart plugin is like before I set it up and decide I don't like it.

    I currently have a site hosted elsewhere, but it doesn't support wordpress.

    You need to talk with the people over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as they are the keepers of the self-hosted wordpress software you will be using. Since we cannot use plugins, nor can we do ecommerce, we know nothing about plugins.
