Show captions under photos in gallery

    Hello

    The captions I have beneath photos in my gallery are only part showing when I display the gallery as a thumbnail grid (or in any other layout). I want the whole text to be visible and for the caption to be visible permanently, not just when the cursor hovers over that photo. Is there a way to do this?

    The blog I need help with is abrahamspath.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi, give the following a try, but I'm not sure you will be happy with the outcome as it makes the gallery look somewhat strange. Also, any captions longer than what is on that page will will end up being cut off and require you to again go back into the CSS and adjust the values. Shorter captions, as you see, will still have the longer background area.

    .gallery-item img {
        margin-bottom: 160px !important;
    }
    .gallery-caption {
        height: 100%;
        top: 149px;
        opacity: 1;
    }

    If you wish to get rid of the grey background on the captions and turn the text dark, change the second rule above to the following.

    .gallery-caption {
        height: 100%;
        opacity: 1;
        top: 149px;
        background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
        color: #2B2B2B;
    }

    No, I'm happy with that - it looks great. Thank you :-)

  4. You are welcome.
