I have chosen "show summary", but full posts still show.

Please do not bump you own threads on these support forum until 24 hours have passed.
This page > Settings > Reading is where you reduce the RSS feed to summary.
To split content in the posts appearing on the front page of the blog you have to insert the more tag.
