I would really like my blog to display just the 'summary' of each post, as opposed to the whole post on the home page. I have selected the 'summary' option in Reading Settings. However, it doesn't appear to have done anything.
I am wondering if it is something to do with using the 2011 theme?
Is it possible to show just the summary with this theme?

To display only a summary of posts in your RSS Feed for posts you do that on this page > Settings > Reading

Additional note: If you place a single empty widget in a single footer area of your Twenty Eleven theme blog, then an option to disable infinite scroll will appear and you can regain control over how many posts appear on your front page. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/to-infinity/page/5?replies=137#post-817186
