Show/Hide Text

  1. Rather new to WordPress, but I really like what I see. Actually, I am just about to switch web-hosts in order that I can use WordPress to develop a full-function website.
Before doing so, however, I have one question. Up until now, on my old website I have used Javascript to have a show/hide function in a glossary of terms. Apparently, however, it seems that Javascript is not allowed to be used with WordPress (no complaints from me). That being the case, does anybody have any ideas how to show/hide text in the body of a page. Ideally, I would be looking for something repetitious that could be used up to 500 times in a page (a very long glossary of language terms).

    All responses greatly appreciated.

The blog I need help with is k99jp.wordpress.com.

  2. This could probably be done in a self-hosted wordpress site using the software from wordpress.ORG, but not at wordpress.COM. There are restrictions here and nothing built in that would provide this functionality.

If you are not familiar with the differences, see this support document.

To self-host a wordpress site on a third-party hosting service such as bluehost, dreamhost, etc., figure an average monthly cost, all things considered, of about $10 to $25.
