Sidebar widget - text and bullet colors and underlining (Bueno)

    Howdy. I need help with two items, if possible:

    1. In my Categories and Archives sidebar widgets I would like to take out the underlines that are currently under every single date in the Archives widget and under every single category name in the Categories widget.

    2. Also in these two widgets I would like to change the hover color and hover bullet. I used thesacredpath's suggestion in this post but, as you'll see if you look at my blog, this changed the bullets only in the Archives widget. Also, this changed the bullet altogether, not just on hover.

    Thanks in advance for your patience and expertise.

    The blog I need help with is frommartawithlove.com.

  2. 1. In my Categories and Archives sidebar widgets I would like to take out the underlines that are currently under every single date in the Archives widget and under every single category name in the Categories widget.

    I don't see any underlining, but I do see borders for the list elements. You can remove those by adding this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS editor:

    #container .widget_categories li,
    .widget ul li a:link,
    .widget ul li a:visited {
    	border-bottom: none;
    }
  3. 2. Also in these two widgets I would like to change the hover color and hover bullet. I used thesacredpath's suggestion in this post but, as you'll see if you look at my blog, this changed the bullets only in the Archives widget. Also, this changed the bullet altogether, not just on hover.

    I see you currently have this saved in your custom CSS:

    .widget ul li a:link,.widget ul li a:visited,.widget ul li a:hover {
    	background:url('http://i1059.photobucket.com/albums/t434/frommartawithlove/PBullet.png') no-repeat scroll 10px 12px transparent;
    }

    To just change the bullet color for hover only, take the other selectors out of the list. Change this:

    .widget ul li a:link,.widget ul li a:visited,.widget ul li a:hover

    To this:

    widget ul li a:hover

    Oops, I meant to call it a border not underlining. And your code worked, thanks a bunch.

    My only remaining issue is that even after inputting your code, everything works as desired in the Archives widget, but when you hover over one of the Categories, it still shows the default pink bullet rather than the new purple one...
