Sidebar widgets @ bottom & can’t figure out why
-
Hi,
I know this is not a new question, but I’ve been reading through various responses on past forum discussions re sidebar widgets jumping to the bottom of blogs, but I can’t figure out why it has done that on my blog: http://thistidehasnoheartbeat.wordpress.com
The sidebar shows at the bottom no matter which page/post I’m on & stayed down there when I deleted my latest post (and when I re-posted it), which was the only change I had made?!
Any solutions MUCH appreciated!Thanks,
Sandra -

Thanks, Teck, but I did read the related FAQs & previous forum discussions. It doesn’t seem to be caused by any of my posts, but I didn’t change anything to the sidebar?!
Thanks,

With redoable, if your browser window is set too narrow, the theme, by design, will push the sidebars to the bottom of the page. That is one possibility.
That said, you have been pasting stuff in from MS Word and most likely using IE to do it. IE is responsible for some of the mucky code I see in your posts, and Word is responsible for the rest. MS Word does not speak HTML, and HTML is the language of the web.
Why not to use Word: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/09/why-not-to-use-word/

https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/code-tags-seen-in-actual-post-on-blog-site?replies=3What you are going to have to do is open each post for edit in the wordpress visual editor, select everything in the text area and then click the “remove code” button on the tool bar. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/15/what-do-all-the-icons-mean/

This should read:
“What you are going to have to do is open each post for edit in the wordpress visual editor, select everything in the text area and then click the “remove code” button on the tool bar and then make any formatting changes you wish and save the post.

Thank you, thesacredpath!
Without any edits, the sidebar is back at the side now, but I will follow your advice anyways and try to take out the Word code. Thanks for the great instructions (especially “select everything in the text area” before clicking ‘remove code’ – my missing step, ha ha). -
