Simultaneous "Publish" and "Save as Draft"

    A few times today---later this afternoon---I have clicked "Publish" and then seen the post saved as a draft. I click it to bring it back into the editor, thinking it was the old "click 'Publish' and get 'Save as Draft' instead" problem, and then clicked Publish. On looking at my blog, I then discover the post has been published twice. Apparently the first click simultaneously published the post and also saved it as a draft.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    The exact same thing happened to me about an hour ago. First time, my post saved as a Draft. I published again and had "double post syndrome" on my blog. Pretty weird.

    I had that problem a couple of days ago, but yesterday I seemed to be able to publish a post without problems. Haven't tried yet today.

    Yesterday it happened for me once.

    I suspect that it has something to do with the autosave, ie if you click while it's autosaving it saves as Draft rather than publishes. Just a theory though.

    Yes, but the peculiar thing is when it BOTH saves as draft AND publishes. Hasn't happened yet today.

    It is a very tricky timing bug that Podz, Andy, and others are still trying to isolate. Thank you for your patience.

    Just to let you know: it's happened on my two most recent posts this evening. (I hate intermittent bugs--don't you?)

    Did it again--seems to be happening consistently this evening.
