Since there is no bbpress forum, might as well ask here...

  1. Are there any plans in the future to make a bbpress.com, similar to wp.com? A bbpress online applet thats already hosted? I've seen what bbpress can do, and I like it, but I have no plans to acquiring my own server to host it at this time, so is there a bbpress.com in the pipeline for sometime in the future?

  2. I don't understand what possible relationship there is between this bbpress.com and wordpress.com support can you expand on the connection as you perceive it to be please?

  3. bbpress is the forum software this forum is on.

Best bet would be to contact Automattic directly. That's a business question. Either that or one of the bbpress mailing lists.

  4. Eh, thought might as well ask since wp and bb are under the same umbrella of software.

If there was any confusion, my question was whether there'd be a webpased BBpress version at some point, so that you could integrate it with wp.com without hosting it on your own server.

    WordPress.org lead to wordpress.com

So will bbpress.org some day lead to bbpress.com?

  5. Best bet would be to contact Automattic directly. That's a business question. Either that or one of the bbpress mailing lists.

  7. WordPress was at version 1.5 by the time wordpress.com came along. bbpress isn't even in beta. I think you will have a long wait.

  8. There are probably a hundred free forum hosts out there (I host three) already while there are really only a free blog hosts like WP.com. I can't see the logic behind a bbpress free site since the software was written to be as simple as possible. It's missing a lot of features that folks would be wanting. Not saying that it's a bad thing not to have those features. Just look around here and see all the folks whining (Being honest there) about how they don't have this or that and they think it's necessary.
