Site Hacked

  1. This is with regards to another blog I own and write http://canonburyantiques.wordpress.com/

I am locked out of the site as my password has been changed. Someone (the hacker) has emailed me telling me they have changed the password by hacking in.

I have contacted wordpress support but they have not got back to me. They told me to change my email password which I did but since then they have not replied.

Is there anyway I can regain access to my blog as I use it for our business?

    thanks
    Martin

The blog I need help with is martinworster.wordpress.com.

  2. Your site has not been "hacked". Your blog has been suspended by Staff.

    canonburyantiques.wordpress.com is no longer available.
This blog has been archived or suspended for a violation of our Terms of Service.
For questions or concerns, contact WordPress.com Support.

I’m sorry but this is not a matter for posting to a public forum. We Volunteers answering support questions have no role to play in this process. This is between you and Staff. As you have you contacted Staff by using the “click here to contact us” link in the notice, the ToS department definitely received your request. Please be patient as they’ll be getting back to you as soon as they can.

  3. If your site was "hacked" and someone getting your password is not normally considered "hacked" but just password theft and they changed the site such that it was suspended then you have two problems - however as @TT has indicated above - you need to work with the Staff directly to resolve either problems - nobody in the forum can fix your password nor return a suspended blog - you should also review the links to see if you were really in violation of the TOS and if so then you should move to a WordPress.ORG install.

  4. Wow, I am really sorry, I didn't realise I was violating terms and for that I apologise. I was just a bit stressed as I've been locked out of my site for a week and I didn't know what to do.

I have contacted support again and hope we can resolve this.

when you say it is suspended - this is only short term till we get this fixed right? I have invested years of work in this blog so I hope so.

For any offence I have caused I apologise, I appreciate you are volunteers and you do a great job and I enjoyed using WordPress for many years.
    thanks
    Martin

  5. @Martin,
We Volunteers cannot discuss this issue with you at all. We are instructed not to discuss ToS issues on the forums. This is between you and Staff. I have flagged this thread for Staff attention. I can do no more than that.
