Site Map on free wordpress.com account

  1. Is it possible to include a bit of HTML that will automatically update a site map for my site? The site is a blog that serves as a list of lessons. So as I update i'd like to have a lesson archive that let's you view by Category/lesson series and then view the individual lessons one at a time. Is this possible on a wordpress.com free account?

And if not would it be possible on a self hosted wordpress site? I'd rather not pay for a domain name since the site is really not a big site, mostly just so others can follow the site without having to keep sending out emails. How can i get this done?

Also is it possible to download all blog entries to a word file or something along those lines?

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is adventuredaybegins.wordpress.com.

  2. Hello there,
WordPress.com automatically provides sitemaps to the major search engines for us -- wethere's nothing that we need to do. See here please > sitemaps

  3. Will you please post an active link to the blog in question starting with http:// when posting to these support forums? Alternatively, perhaps you could consider linking your username to your blog. It’s very easy to do. Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

  4. So as I update i'd like to have a lesson archive that let's you view by Category/lesson series and then view the individual lessons one at a time.

Whether or not full posts, only titles, beginnings of post or thumbnail images are displayed on Categories pages or Archives pages is dependent upon how each theme is coded to operate and we cannot edit templates or themes. See here > Category/archive pages: full posts or not
