Site Stats + Referrers

  1. Hi. I'm trying to understand where my visits are coming from and found out looking out the referrers that they are most of the time coming from the same sport website i sometimes visit, especially during tournaments. What does it really mean? Because i have received lots of visits these past few days but not sure why....http://cricketmaidennovel.com Any idea?

The blog I need help with is cricketmaidennovel.com.

  2. The referrers section lists other blogs, web sites, and search engines that link to your blog. A view is counted as a referrer when a visitor of the other site clicks a link and lands on a URL of your blog. See site stats > http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/

why is there such a big difference between the "views" and "referrer" numbers. Does a view count each time a visitor clicks within the site? Like if they land on the home page, then click a post then another post. Does that count as 3 views?

  4. Yes. WordPress.com stats are page view stats. Every page viewed is a stat.
