Skeptical not wide enough for TED videos?

  1. We need to be able to embed videos from the TED website (www.ted.com) into our group blog, but have just discovered that the image sizes of some of the videos on TED are larger than others, so that some hang over the edge of the posting space, which looks pretty bad. Is there any other way to embed these videos other than the default WordPress TED ID? I tried to use the HTML embedding code in the HTML editing view, adjusting the dimensions of the video window to make it fit, but that didn't work, of course. I'm assuming that I need to change to a different theme with a wider posting area? (I don't want to ditch the side bar on the right and put all of that at the bottom of the page in the footer, either :-( Is there some other option that I am missing?

The blog I need help with is tedtalkingss12.wordpress.com.
