Hi, I am using twenty ten theme, I know the width of the image for slide show is 640, and how about the height?

I'm not clear what your concern is about the height is but if you are concerned about proportions then 640 × 505 will display well.
"Slideshows are set to fill up the full content width of your theme. Resizing them is not currently possible but if you try different themes you will find that the size of slideshows varies." http://en.support.wordpress.com/slideshows/
