I hope i can use it
But i don't know if it can be trusted for good use.
If you want an invite I've one left for those who like to try it on wordpress.
    Thanks a lot

  2. Alas, the hosted version of wordpress does not support embedded object tags.

WordPress published a fix for YouTube embeddings. How about the same for slideshare, guys?

  3. Best bet would be to submit a Feedback from your Dashboard with this suggestion along with a link to this thread so staff can see that we've discussed it.

    Good luck,
    -drmike

  4. Thanks I would do that.

  5. I agree, slideshare is fantastic & I'd love to see support.

  6. I hope that means you sent in a feedback, right? :)

  7. This topic shows up as "resolved" now. Does that mean Slideshare embeds are supported now? If so, how can I embed slideshows? I just tried both the embed code and the youtube method - neither worked.

(I am from the slideshare team. We keep hearing from users who want to embed slideshows into wordpress.com blogs. Please get in touch with rashmi AT slideshare.net if there is anything we can do from our end to enable this. We love wordpress, and would really like wordpress users to be able to enjoy slideshare).

  8. It means folks have been directed to send in feedback from their dashboard in support of this idea. :)

embed and objects are stripped due to security concerns as this is a shared environment. (ie if I hacked into a single blog via a corrupt embed, I would be able to gain access to all the other blogs.)

Quick aside - In this post, you have a space within the brackets. That's why it's not working. Here's the instructions on doing a youtube video.

    Hope this helps,
    -drmike

  9. So how is the feedback going? I submitted mine via the dashboard, I assume at least some others have also. But so far there's a deafening silence!

  10. I assume at least some others have also

Really? What makes you say that?
