Regarding fayence.wordpress.com
I am using the Slideshow feature on the front page.
I would like to put a stand-alone photo under the slideshow, but when I do, it appears in the slideshow (I assume because it is "attached" to the page). Is there any way to add the photo without it appearing in the slideshow?
The "help" articles don't seem to addrees the question.

The blog I need help with is fayence.wordpress.com.
Don't upload the "separate" images via the Add an Image button of the post editor: upload them via Media > Add New, then go to the post editor, click Add an Image, click Media Library, click Show, insert.
As far as I know, there is no way to have a slideshow AND an individual image in the same post without that image also appearing in the slideshow.
