Slow downloads of Pictures

    Hi,

    Strange problem on all three wordpress blogs I update, when uploading a picture, takes no time at all but when users go to see one, it takes forever to download a picture, just of 75K.

    any known issues ?

    The blog I need help with is astonvilla-views.com.

    I visited your blog and it loaded quickly for me. I clicked on three post titles. The first had an image and the others did not. All of the posts also loaded within seconds for me. I'm using Firefox 6.0.1 and I'm on DSL. Can you provide an active link starting with http:// to the post or page that's taking a long time to load please?

    I assumed it was the blog in question. If http://pheasey.com is the blog in question then we do not provide support for it on this forum. This forum is only for free hosted WordPress.com blogs. Also if you are posting images from that URL into your WordPress.com blog then that's what the problem is. Simply upload them into your WordPress.com blog and they will be in your Media Library and there will be no slow page loading problem. Please confirm which blog you are referring to.

    tried different browsers and even an internet dongle and slow

    other non wordpress sites like BBC fine for loading images

    That site loaded instantly for me. The image did also. I suggest that you try clearing your browser cache and cookies. If your browser is out of date then you can upgrade any browser version here. How are you connecting to the internet at to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.
