Small print in "new post" window

  1. I looked through the current discussions and did a search and didn't see anything on this topic -- if I'm just missing it, please point me in the right direction.

I noticed yesterday that when I write a new post, the font is very small. Has WordPress changed the settings? I hope not -- not all WP bloggers are 20-something with good eyesight. The small print is a strain and is turning my blogging pleasure into a headache. Please let me know if there is a way to adjust it. The print in the post when it is published is fine: just the print in the window when I am composing a new post is very small.

I know sometimes when I cut and paste from other documents, I'll end up with a different font picked up from what I copied, and I just click on the "code" button and remove the tags, and all is fine. But that's not the case here. There are no tags to remove.

All other print everywhere on my computer is normal: it's just in that window where I am trying to write that it is too small.

  2. Sooo...am I the only person with this problem, or the only person who is bothered by it?

  3. Barbarah:

It may be the former. I'm certainly not having a problem. Have you tried clearing your cache and history?

  4. The text on your blog looks all the same to me. Can you point (ie link) to somewhere on your blog where it's different?

  5. @DrMike:

Barbarah is referring to the text in the "write post" window, not the text that displays on the blog. Do you think it is related to the problems over the past day or so with needing to reload?

On a windows OS if your hold down the crtl button and simultaneously click the plus sign key + you can increase the size of the font for readability purposes. Alternatively you can click "View" on your toolbar and then "Text size" and increase the font size. Using either technique to improve visibility for yourself will not affect the font size that readers see.

  7. drmike, judyb12 is correct -- it was only the text within the "write post" window that was small. Once I published the post, it was normal size. But whatever it was, it's back to normal now -- I just tested it.

    Thanks for that tip, timethief.
