Snap Shot part of WP?

  1. A friend of mine emailed me and said that when she hovers over a link on my blog, a Snap Shot popup comes showing the site that the link is to. I never noticed this before as I use Firefox. When I used Internet Explorer to check it out--there it was!
Is this part of the WordPress package?? Or is it in the browser?
    thank you.

I'd like to get rid of that myself! I think it's really annoying.

  3. Both of you - please provide links to your blogs when asking questions in the forums (better: link your blog to your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forums).

If you are hosted here, try looking here http://en.forums.wordpress.com/search.php?q=snap+shots

  4. Thank you for your reply. By the way, my blog IS linked to my username, doesn't it show it on here?

  5. Go to appearances > extras and you can turn snap shots off there. Make sure and click "save changes."

  6. Yes, you can get rid of the snapshots:
dashboard -> appearance -> extras -> unclick "enable snapshots"

They really are annoying, are they not!
